Exhibition at Arvada Center for the Arts

The Arvada Center for the Arts presents Lui Ferreyra: Means of Approach, April 10 through May 10. The opening reception is Friday April 10, from 6 to 9pm. The exhibition is in the Upper Gallery and will feature 15 works, including four live drawing sessions throughout the course of the exhibition. Please visit arvadacenter.org for more details. Additionally, an artist talk for Means of Approach will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at 11am (Free Admission).

Duain Wolfe Portrait

Ferreyra’s portrait of acclaimed choir conductor Duain Wolfe is the third portrait commission by the Colorado Symphony, which is set to hang at Boetcher Concert Hall alongside his previous two portraits of Jeffrey Kahane and Marin Alsop. The portrait was unveiled October 18th at Boetcher Hall in front of a live audience in commemoration of Wolfe’s 30th year as conductor of the Colorado Symphony.

The Denver Theater District’s Outdoor Art Gallery is currently celebrating Colorado portraiture. Featured on the center panel, is Ferreyra’s painting, “Vision” (14th and Champa). In conjunction with the outdoor exhibit, DTD will host an Art Salon at the Ellie Caulkin’s Theater on December 13th.

The Urban Renewal Authority in Golden Colorado has hung a new banner in downtown Golden of a painting of Table Mountain by Lui Ferreyra (14th and Washington).

Best of Colorado at DIA

Ferreyra’s Bardos 1 chosen for “Best of Colorado” exhibition at Denver International Airport. As the City prepares for the international spotlight on the Denver Art Museum’s new Frederick C. Hamilton Building opening October 7, 2006, DIA is showcasing 75 of Colorado’s top artists for display during these heavy travel months. The exhibition runs from August 2006 through January 2007 in the Jeppeson Terminal.
